2015 Château Couhins Rouge Pessac-Léognan Red Wine

The 2015 Château Couhins Lurton is a Grand Vin de Graves that displays a very dark garnet colour that is almost black. The nose is beautifully complex with plenty of ripe fruit aromas such as blackcurrant and morello cherry, as well as attractive toasty nuances. On the palate, this red wine is absolutely charming and elegant. It is rich, heady, round, and full bodied which makes it a real treat for the taste buds.

The tannins are well integrated, showing beautiful length with hints of vanilla and slightly toasty overtones. Aged for 12 months in oak barrels with 40% new oak, this 2015 vintage fulfils the promise of a great year. The tasting pleasure will be complete when paired with roast poultry or other white meats.
