2018 Domain Roland Sounit Bourgogne Rully 1er cru "Meix Cadot" Chardonnay White Wine

The 2018 Bourgogne Rully 1er cru "Meix Cadot" is a dry white wine produced in the Côtes Châlonnaise where the vineyard is situated on slopes south of the village of Rully. The Chardonnay grapes thrive in fertile subsoil composed of limestone and clay. This expressive wine displays a bouquet of white fruits and fresh almonds.

On the palate, it offers a lovely texture and freshness underscored by minty and toasty notes. The finish is mineral and elegant, providing lingering aromas of candied lemons. Following traditional winemaking with pneumatic pressing, alcoholic fermentation takes place in oak barrels, 30% of which are new. The wine is aged for 14 months in oak barrels. Serve at 10 to 12 °C with tender meat, pan fried river fish, saltwater fish in white sauce, spicy shellfish, poultry in a rich creamy sauce, or hard cheeses like Comté, Beaufort, and Emmental.
