The 2018 Domaine Jean-Francois Protheau Bourgogne Montagny is a white wine produced in the Montagny appellation at the southern tip of the Côte Chalonnaise. Grown on fertile limestone and marl soils, this Chardonnay is expressive and refined. It displays light oak notes mixed with the aromatic freshness of citrus fruits and flowers.
Aged for 10 months in oak barrels, this wine is fresh, complex, and balanced on the palate. It pairs perfectly with white meats in sauce, shellfish such as lobster and scallops, or simply prepared fish. Its natural finesse also makes it an excellent choice for an aperitif.
