2018 Caiarossa Rosso di Toscana Red Wine

The Caiarossa 2018 is a dry Toscana Rosso red wine sourced from the hilly hinterland of Bolgheri in Tuscany, Italy. This vintage is crafted from a unique blend of Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese, and Grenache grapes. It presents an intense garnet red color.

The nose is delightful with complex aromas of violets, sage, lavender, and currants. On the palate, the wine displays a full bodied tannin structure reminiscent of well known Bordeaux wines. The finish is distinctive, where silky Syrah fruit blends elegantly with rich Tuscan sweetness. Produced with the utmost respect for the terroir, the grapes are hand harvested and fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 14 to 16 months in oak barrels. It pairs ideally with grilled meats, game, lamb, poultry, and spicy cheeses.
