2019 Domaine Roland Sounit Rully 1er Cru “Le Meix Cadot” Chardonnay White Wine

The 2019 Domaine Roland Sounit Rully 1er Cru “Le Meix Cadot” is a dry white wine produced in the Rully region of Burgundy. It comes from the "Meix Cadot" vineyard situated on the hillsides south of the village, featuring clay and limestone subsoil covered by stony topsoil. Crafted from 100% Chardonnay grapes, this wine displays a bright yellow colour with golden green hues.

The nose offers an expressive bouquet of white fruits and fresh almonds. On the palate, the wine reveals a nice texture and freshness underlined by minty and roasted notes. The finish is mineral and elegant with persistent aromas of candied lemon. Following traditional vinification, including hand harvesting and fermentation in oak barrels (30% new), the wine is aged for 14 months with regular stirring. It pairs perfectly with tender meat, fried river fish, sea fish in white sauce, hot shellfish, poultry in a creamy sauce, frog legs, or hard cheeses like Comté and Beaufort.
